[Well, this guy (or gal as the case may be) is now choosing to show his (her) charming face on the network for the first time. As a girl Joshua doesn't actually look all that different. The features are a little finer, maybe, the lashes a little longer, but the giggle is no less obnoxious.

Hee hee.]

Gosh... you know, I don't see how this is so bad. I'm not sure I'd mind staying this way longer, in fact. [A dainty eyelash-flutter directed towards the video feed.] For one thing, girls get much nicer clothes, and they're allowed to like them much more. It's so hard to be a fashionista when you're expected to be getting in fights and grubbing around in the mud.

Too bad there's no place around here to go shopping.

So, are you familiar with the word "fanatic"?

Yes, although can I point out that you seem to have a strange obsession with words that start with F-A-N?

Very good, dear! You're taking a step forward in the logic of the word. Think of a "fan" as someone who's an aficionado of one thing or another, a book series, for instance. If they like it, they're a fan! "Fangirls," on the other hand, is generally derogatory, referring to fans who are generally ladies in their younger years who are rabidly devoted to whatever it is they like and aggressive towards people who don't like what they like. Are you following so far?

Er... roughly. [This all sounds a bit like wizards, to be honest, and that makes her rather skeptical. Especially the woman-hating part.]

[Oh, gods, her head is swimming. Can they go back to the part where people care this much about books? In Ankh-Morpork, most popular forms of entertainment only exist to have things thrown at them.]

And this is a... common thing in your world, is it? [Angua is deeply suspicious of whatever the hell kind of place that must be right now.]
